THE 5TH FORUM OF IT DIRECTORS
OF UKRAINIAN PUBLIC SECTOR
TRUST IN DIGITAL SOCIETY
27 September 2019
ABOUT
The Forum facilitates networking and cooperation of e-governance leaders and opens new horizons for the development and promotion of e-governance in Ukraine.
This year, the Forum is dedicated to cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in developing a digital society in Ukraine. A particular focus is on trust building in digital society while developing IT systems and public e-services.
The speakers of the Forum will highlight different aspects of trust-building like necessary legal ground, secure by design IT systems, privacy and data protection.
The next steps of developing e-governance in Ukraine are under discussion. A new concept „State in Smartphone“ is in the spotlight. As case studies, the Forum examines how the secure data exchange ‘Trembita system’ and the information system ‘Vulyk’ support the establishment of trust and enhance e-governance development and decentralisation in Ukraine.
The 5th Forum gathers together IT Directors from all levels of the public sector and representatives of donors, who are keen to support the e-governance development in Ukraine.
THERE IS A LOT OF WORK AHEAD. WE STILL NEED TO WORK ON EXPANDING THE DIGITAL CULTURE OF OUR PUBLIC SERVANTS AND CITIZENS. WE NEED TO REACH FULL COOPERATION BETWEEN STATE AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF E-GOVERNANCE. WE ARE CONFIDENT THAT GIVEN THE SUPPORT OF BOTH GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATIVES AND IN-TERNATIONAL PARTNERS, WE ARE UP TO THIS.
